Nueva Constitución, nuevas victorias

Hoy 30 de Enero sellamos un nuevo capítulo en la historia de nuestra Nicaragua Bendita y Siempre Libre con la aprobación unánime de la nueva Constitución Política, consolidando nuestro Estado Revolucionario y fortaleciendo el Modelo de Democracia Directa, donde el Pueblo es Presidente.

Por orientación de la Presidencia de la República, Comandante Daniel Ortega y Compañera Rosario Murillo, evocamos en este Documento Histórico a los Héroes y Heroínas de todos los Tiempos, reconocemos nuestra Bandera Rojinegra como parte de nuestros Sagrados Símbolos Patrios y protegemos al Estado Revolucionario de los traidores que atentan contra la Soberanía, la Justicia Social y la Paz. 

En nuestra Constitución aseguramos la participación protagónica de las Mujeres en la Presidencia de la República y en todos los ámbitos políticos, cumpliendo expresamente con la equidad de género. Reconocemos los derechos de los Pueblos Originarios y Afrodescendientes, reafirmamos y protegemos las conquistas de nuestra Revolución que incluyen: el Derecho a la Salud y a la Educación gratuitas y de calidad, a la Cultura, el Deporte y la Recreación, a la Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional, al acceso a servicios básicos como agua potable, saneamiento y energía, a una Vivienda Digna y Segura y a la Promoción de la Economía Creativa. 

Con la entrada en vigencia de la nueva Constitución se amplía a seis años el período de las autoridades electas por el voto popular en las últimas elecciones Nacionales, Municipales y Regionales.

La Constitución es una proclamación de Amor Patrio, que reafirma la voluntad de las y los nicaragüenses por la defensa de su Soberanía, Independencia, Autodeterminación, Seguridad y Paz.

NEW CONSTITUTION, NEW VICTORIES

Today, January 30th we seal a new chapter in the history of our Blessed and Forever Free Nicaragua by means of unanimous approval for the new Political Constitution, consolidating our Revolutionary State and strengthening the Model of Direct Democracy, whereby the People are President.

In accordance with the guidance of the Presidency of the Republic, Comandante Daniel Ortega and Compañera Rosario Murillo, we evoke in this Historic Document the Heroes and Heroines of all Times, we recognize our Red and Black Flag as one of our Sacred Patriotic Symbols and we protect the Revolutionary State from traitors who threaten Sovereignty, Social Justice and Peace. 

In our Constitution we ensure the leading participation of women in the Presidency of the Republic and in all political spheres, expressly complying with gender equity. We recognize the rights of Indigenous and Afro-descendant Peoples, we reaffirm and protect the achievements of our Revolution that include: the Right to free, quality Health Care and Education, to Culture, Sports and Recreation, to Food and Nutritional Security, to access to basic services such as drinking water, sani-tation and energy, to Decent and Secure Hous-ing and to the Promotion of the Creative Economy. 

With the entry into force of the new Constitu-tion, the term of the authorities elected by po-pular vote in the last National, Municipal and Regional elections is extended to six years.

The Constitution is a proclamation of Patriotic Love, which reaffirms the Will of Nicaraguans to defend their Sovereignty, Independence, Self-determination, Security and Peace.
