Para los países miembros de la Alianza Bolivariana para los Pueblos de Nuestra América (ALBA) resulta imperativo el cese del apoyo político, militar, financiero y logístico estadounidense a Israel, la Potencia Ocupante, y el llamado urgente a la Asamblea General y al Consejo de Seguridad de Naciones Unidas, a cumplir con su responsabilidad principal de preservar la paz y la seguridad internacionales.
En este sentido, los países del ALBA respaldamos la propuesta del Presidente de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, de convocar una Cumbre Internacional por la Paz y en contra de la Guerra, espacio que servirá como plataforma para impulsar un cese de hostilidades integral, y promover el diálogo inclusivo entre todas las partes involucradas, así como el respeto a los propósitos y principios de la Carta de la ONU y el Derecho Internacional, incluyendo los principios de soberanía, la libre determinación y la no amenaza o uso de la fuerza.
Consideramos prioritario avanzar hacia el establecimiento de una Zona Libre de Armas Nucleares y otras Armas de Exterminio en Masa en Medio Oriente, en cumplimiento de las resoluciones históricas de las Naciones Unidas, así como detener de manera inmediata el genocidio en contra del pueblo Palestino, y avanzar en la consolidación de su soberanía como reclama la comunidad internacional de acuerdo con las resoluciones de las Naciones Unidas.
El ALBA reitera su compromiso inquebrantable con la paz, la justicia y el multilateralismo. Confiamos en que esta iniciativa contribuirá a lograr un mundo más seguro y la tan anhelada paz basada en el respeto y la justicia entre las naciones.

STATEMENT BY THE BOLIVARIAN ALLIANCE OF THE PEOPLES OF OUR AMERICA (ALBA) ON THE SUMMIT FOR PEACE AND AGAINST WAR
For the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP), it is imperative to cease US political, military, financial and logistical support to Israel, the Occupying Power, and urgently call on the General Assembly and the United Nations Security Council to fulfill their primary responsibility to preserve international Peace and Security.
In this regard, the ALBA countries support the proposal of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, to convene an International Summit for Peace and against War, a space that will serve as a platform to promote a comprehensive cessation of hostilities, and encourage inclusive dialogue between all the parties involved, as well as respect for the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and International law, including the principles of sovereignty, self-determination and the non-threat or use of force.
We consider it a priority to move towards the establishment in the Middle East of a Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and other Weapons of Mass Destruction, in compliance with historic resolutions of the United Nations, as well as to immediately stop the genocide against the Palestinian People, and advance in the consolidation of their Sovereignty as demanded by the international community in accordance with resolutions of the United Nations.
ALBA reiterates its unwavering commitment to peace, justice and multilateralism. We are confident that this initiative will contribute to achieving a safer world and long-awaited Peace based on Respect and Justice between nations.
