En nombre del Pueblo y Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional de la República de Nicaragua, y en nuestro propio nombre, transmitimos a Usted, a su Gobierno y al Hermano Pueblo de la República de Burundi, nuestras más cálidas y fraternas felicitaciones, al conmemorarse este próximo 1 de Julio el 64º Aniversario de la Proclamación de la Independencia de Burundi.
En esta fecha de alto significado histórico, saludamos la valentía, la dignidad y la firme voluntad del Pueblo burundés, que desde aquel memorable 1 de Julio de 1962 afirmó ante el Mundo su Derecho Sagrado a vivir en Libertad, Soberanía, Unidad y Autodeterminación.
Burundi representa para los Pueblos de África y del Mundo, un Ejemplo de Resistencia, Identidad Nacional y Esperanza, avanzando con decisión en la defensa de su Independencia, su Cultura, su Paz y su Derecho a construir su propio camino de desarrollo, sin imposiciones ni injerencias externas.
En esta ocasión especial, reiteramos la voluntad invariable de Nicaragua de continuar fortaleciendo los Lazos de Amistad, Solidaridad y Cooperación Fraterna que unen a nuestros Gobiernos y Pueblos.

On behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and on our own behalf, we convey to You, your Government and to the brotherly People of the Republic of Burundi, our warmest and most fraternal congratulations, on the commemoration of the 64th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Independence of Burundi on July 1st.
On this date of great historical significance, we salute the courage, dignity and firm will of the Burundian people, who since that memorable July 1st, 1962, have affirmed before the world their sacred right to live in freedom, sovereignty, unity and self-determination.
Burundi represents for the people of Africa and the world, an example of resistance, national identity and hope, moving forward decisively in the defense of their independence, their culture, their peace and their right to build their own path of development, without impositions or external interference.
On this special occasion, we reiterate Nicaragua's unwavering will to continue strengthening the Bonds of Friendship, Solidarity and Fraternal Cooperation that unite our Governments and Peoples.
