On the occasion of commemorating, this August 21st 2026, the 47th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Nicaragua and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, we join you, the Compañeros and Compañeras of the Workers' Party of Korea, and the Fraternal People and Government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, in celebrating the historic ties of Friendship, Solidarity and Cooperation which unite our Peoples and Governments.
On behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, and on our own behalf, we convey our warmest congratulations on the occasion of this significant date, which represents 47 Years of Fraternal Relations, based on Mutual Respect, Solidarity and the Defense of the Sovereignty, Independence and Self-Determination of our Peoples.
On this significant anniversary, we also recall the infinite legacy of Brother Kim Il Sung, founding father of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and the steadfastness and vision of Brother Kim Jong Il, who contributed to strengthening the bonds of Friendship and Solidarity between our Peoples.
Beloved Compañero Kim Jong Un, we reiterate our willingness to continue strengthening and deepening our Bilateral Relations, expanding the spaces of Cooperation and Solidarity between our Governments, Parties and Peoples.
We are sure that Nicaragua and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will continue to move forward together, working for the Well-being and Prosperity of our Peoples and defending a World of Peace, Sovereignty, Justice and Respect among Nations.
