A very good afternoon, Compañera. Good afternoon, beloved families of our Blessed Nicaragua, this People of ours, we are all, vibrant, strong, passionate and high minded; People conscious of being alive... People making our way through Magnificent Spring. The Sacred Words of Ruben Dario.
The Brother and Sisterhood between our Peoples has been confirmed on the flaming Route of the Torch of Central America’s Youth and Peoples, for whom we ask God to grant us the Dream of the Union of “so many scattered Vigors”.
Today we have received from the fraternal Honduran People, from the hands of their Minister of Education, Professor Ivette Arely Argueta Padilla, the Central American Torch. And we saw the beautiful Event of Fraternity, between Peoples, between Families, between Students, between Athletes, we saw and lived Brother and Sisterhood.
The Torch, as we were saying, was handed to our Minister, Compañera Mendy Aráuz, by the Minister of Honduras, Ivette Arely Argueta Padilla. The words of the Honduran students and the Nicaraguan students were very eloquent.
A great deal of Color, Folklore, Sounds and Music from our Countries, in addition to that exchange we have already described of Dreams, of Values, of Ideals, of Union, in and between our Central America.
I repeat, Brothers and Sisters, that we received from the Honduran People, from their Minister, from their Students, the Eternal Flame of our Ideals, Aspirations and Longings for a Central America advancing in Unity, so that the Families of each Sovereign Country live with Well-being and Rights.
We have seen, we are seeing, the route. We have seen and we accompany, with all our heart, until the handover by our Youth President to our Youth President, next Saturday on the 12th, with the hullabaloo of Rhythmic Bands that sound and resonate, praising God and calling out for Unity.
Today, the hearings in Nicaragua’s case have also concluded, and we must mention it as part of our Solidarity Commitments always, that Solidarity inspired support, as always, to the Palestinian People, there, before the International Court of Justice; hearings in which we have demanded Respect for that Great, Noble and Courageous People.
As a Blessed, Dignified and Forever Honorable, Glorious and Free Nicaragua, we continue to make our way, beyond the ignoble frauds, and even more so here, in the Sensitive, Loving and Harmonious Heart of a Patriotic Nation bringing us closer, with a Present and Future we are creating All Together.
The young women and young men who carry out the Handover of the Flame are a powerful expression of our Heroic Youth who today, in all the expressions of Education, Tradition, History, Culture, Sports, are the living reality of the excellence of a People, of a Youth, who ask daily for the Blessing of the Father, to continue clearing storms, clearing tormented ghosts, dark clouds, and with a clean, newly kindled, vibrant Soul, for Nicaragua to go on advancing, because we do continue to advance, from ourselves, to ourselves, and in ourselves.
How many champions in every kind of sport we are honored to show off, as a precisely life-giving image of the power of a Revolution of Peace, of Goodness, of Blessings, of Kindness and Generosity, of an entire People, for an entire People.
How much we celebrate our magnificent, splendid national Identity, which does not distance us from the World, on the contrary, we move closer and closer to the New World, of Solidarity, of Brother and Sisterhood, of Rights and Complementarity, which already rings and resonates in the bells of the Future, which, by force of Heroic Will, the free families and Peoples of the World, in propitious Brother and Sisterhood, in propitious Fraternity, are creating.
How much Majesty in the Colors of the Huipiles, we carry, of the Flowers, the Costumes and Symbols of our Folklore, of our Traditional Culture... How much joy when we see ourselves reflected in ourselves, walking the paths of vigorous Joy... How many lights we see glinting in the sequins, feathers, flights and emblems filling Nicaragua to the rhythm of whistles and drums.
How many Horizons unfold with Joy, in front of each one of us, of everyone, because we know that we are Going Onward, Always Further On, in the brilliant poetry of our Rubén, and in the freedoms achieved, bequeathed, by our Heroes, guarded today with Honor and Pride by everyone.
How much we are, Heavenly Father, Thanks to Your Infinite Love!
How much Dignity we have, Heavenly Father, Thanks to Your Infinite Love!
How much you have given us to be this Powerful Soul and this "Gold of our burning Suns” we feel inside us, that we live inside us, a permanent Illumination of Stars and Heavens, of Stars that never set.
How much value there is in the labor of our peasant families, in the plantations displaying Work and Peace, Work to improve, to prosper... the flowering of our Fields, the brightness of our water sources, abundant Waters, the Blue-White Sky wherein we read the Future... everything that represents us, everything that we are, everything we are becoming, everything that we do, from Peace and Security, so that the joy of leaving behind former imposed Impoverishment fills us more and more with Certainties.
Our water sources are a clear sign and indication, where we learn to see the face of God, inspiring and impelling us, calling us to be, to learn, to grow, and to raise the Flags of Permanent Harmony, the Flags of Unity, the Flags of Peace, as insurance for Life, for a Nicaragua that Triumphs in Peace and Unity.
Our supreme wealth is Peace... Our Supreme Wealth is every Nicaraguan who loves Peace and the Nation... Our Highest Praise to the Father of All, so that our Hearts may abound with Purpose, to transcend littleness, to recognize ourselves as Children of God, with Nobility and Greatness, with Sensitivity, Serenity, Wisdom and all the Infinite Goodness and Virtues that we can display, to continue being an example of Harmony, Brother and Sisterhood, Modesty, Simplicity, a Shield that makes shine that Sense of Humanity so very much part of the Nicaraguan Soul.
The Sandinista Popular Revolution, which is an Evolution, is born of the Dignity, Spirituality, Tenderness and Bravery of our People. It is born from the Great Spirit that mobilized, moved and motivated our eternal General Sandino in his Always Further On and in his Lights, Lives and Truths... the Sandinista Popular Revolution, our Revolution, which is Evolution, turns us all into that same Fraternity Sandino outlined and practiced, for a Patriotic Nation, like ours, whose primordial Heritage, in abundance and multiplication of fertility and the exuberances typical of deeply Spiritual Times, we offer and display that abundant, primordial Heritage which is Nobility of Spirit, and Peace. And we also display that Greatness with the Humility bequeathed to us by the Martyrs, the Heroes and Heroines, and this deeply beloved Nation of ours.
In these days of our Patriotic Nation we embrace each other, contemplating our riches which are the Wealth of Soul, as we affirm and assure to ourselves that Unity makes Strength, and the most valuable and invincible Strength that can grow in each of us is to continue saying, calling out and shouting, with Darío, PEACE, PEACE, PEACE!
And to honor our Greatness and our Values, our Bravery and our National Dignity, on the 14th itself is the Day of the Glorious Battle of San Jacinto, the Immortal Battle of San Jacinto, we will perform an Act of State, saluting our Brave, our Heroes, and our Nicaragua, Always Blessed, Always Blessed, Forever Free, Dignified and Powerful!
